((PAGE 4! ! ! ! )) Lydia smiled at the complement that Elphaba had given her. “You’re too kind,” She told her new friend. Lydia sighed as they started to walk down the side walk. She turned seeing all the people out with friends, or lovers, she smiled at that. For once she was actually out walking with a friend, something she never expected to actually happen. Lydia blushed deeply, which showed brightly on her pale cheeks. Elphaba had told her what her sister was like. And she was so much like how Lydia’s brother was, kind of annoying, and Boq was dating her which only made her feel worse about it. She know how people could be, and she didn’t think Boq deserved someone like her ((Sorry, lots of Nessarose bashing, I really don’t like her though)). Lydia realized the long awkward silence that had taken place, she cleared her throat, pushing Boq to the back of her mind, “S-So…umm…wanna go to Wiz-o-mania?” She asked giving a slight smile, “ We can go find Glinda, It wouldn’t be fair to run off and do something fun without the girl you invited here.”

((haha it's ok, she annoyed me in the musical also. It's annoying trying to care about her lol))
Elphaba smiled at her suggestion. "Wizo-Mania?" she questioned "I am sorry I might sound so stupid right now." she apologized trying to remember what it was. Maybe it was some parade or festival honoring the Wizard. The name did give away some hints about it.
She smiled "That sounds great though" she said walking alongside Lydia. It would be great to get her mind off everything in her life. Off of the Wizard, Fiyero, Glinda. Just focus on her new friend who pretty much helped her through so much in such a short time.

((Ugg, I know right, I really REALLY hate her, I know it sounds weird because she's just a character...but I'm obsessed with Boq XD HAHAHA Sorry if that's weird))
Lydia smiled, “It’s a festival held every season in the park, Music, Games, Food, Dancing, you get the idea,” she smiled at her friend. It did sound like fun, it would get everything off her mind also. Though she lived not far from the park, she hadn’t been in a few years. Her brother goes every single season, and always tells her what she’s missed, she thought it’d be fun for once.
Lydia nodded, “Alright to Wizo- Mania!” She said pointing her finger up in the air like a superhero. She smiled and linked arms with Elphaba as she pulled her new friend along. The park was a few blocks away, but there was already a crowd of people on their way there. She kind of hoped she wouldn’t run into anyone from Shiz she knew, whether it be Boq, Galinda, or any of the kids that hung out with Galida, Lydia was just in too good a mood to see any of them right now.
She smiled to herself and turned to Elphaba, “So, I’m paying your way in, in celebration of meeting someone who understands me,” She smiled digging some money from her pocket. “And If you try to stop me…it’ll hurt my feelings and I’ll cry,” She laughed slightly.

((not weird at all.))
Elphaba smiled. "That sounds like a lot of fun." she said excited to be going to the festival. But a part of her felt bad to be doing this sightseeing without Ga... um Glinda. Elphaba giggled at Lydia's enthusiasm and smiled. She was strangely in a good mood. It felt as if nothing could bring her down. She was here, in the Emerald City. It felt amazing.
They linked arms. Elphaba was so happy she felt like it was a dream she would never want to wake up from. She didn't want the day to end. She was definately going to keep in touch with Lydia. She felt that she needed to keep in touch with her. "So do you know anyone who's going?" Elphaba asked curiously wondering if her family would be there.
Elphaba sighed. "At least let me pay half of it" Elphaba offered trying to be polite. Elphaba was also celebrating and she didn't want Lydia paying for her. "even though I don't want to see you cry." she said.

“It will be fun!” Lydia replied in happy tone, assuring her. It would be a nice change to actually go with a friend instead of family for once. Elphaba was just the person she had been needing for a while, someone to take her mind of the rest of the world.
Lydia shrugged, she had hoped she wouldn’t run into anyone she knew, from Shiz. “We might run into my brother,” She told Elphaba. Her mother and Father didn’t live around the Emerald city, they were all the way from The Glikkus ((I had to look at the map in the book))
She quickly shook her head at Elphaba’s last comment, “Nope, I’m paying!” Lydia replied sticking her nose up. Then she puckered her lip, “Don’t make me cry before we get there…” She pouted playfully as they reached the gates, where the Emerald City Guards stood go let people into the Festival.

Elphaba smiled "I am sure I will have a good time." she said as they walked. She mentioned about her brother. "That would be interesting. I would love to meet your brother." Elphaba said. Lydia's whole family sounded like decent people. She wasn't sure how they would react to Lydia's friend being green. Elphaba pushed that thought away from her mind not wanting to ruin the day.
Elphaba sighed "Fine, since I would feel horrible if you cried." she said "But I am buying you something when we get there" Elphaba said stubbornly. It was fair. She bought her way in. Elphaba bought her a gift to remember her by. In case they never saw each other again. She knew Lydia wouldn't like the idea of Elphaba buying her a gift but she felt a huge need to.

Lydia stared at Elphaba for a moment, then sighed, “Fine, since you’re not going to leave me alone about it…” She rolled her eyes playfully at her, then walked t the gates. Lydia dug ten dollars out of her pocket and handed it to the guard, that was enough to get both of them in to Wizo- Mania. “Trust me, I’m sure my brother would love to meet you too,” She snickered slightly. But knew he’d be hitting on her the whole day.
Inside the gates everyone was dressed in green, Lydia felt kind of left out being the only one dressed in white with no green on her at all. She looked around, smiling at the smell of food, “I haven’t eaten since breakfast, and all you had was coffee, want to get a bite to eat?” She asked.

Elphaba entered and looked around. Everyone was wearing green. Everything was green. She noticed people staring. Not at her but at Lydia. It was weird that Elphaba actually fit in. She knew how others felt. But she also knew that hanging out with someone different wasn't that bad. Elphaba couldn't help but smile out of happiness. She actually fit in.
Lydia mentioned eating something. "That sounds great to me. I'm paying." Elphaba said with a small smile. She looked around for a restuarant or somewhere to eat. She also looked around for someone she knew. She was strangely feeling more confident now that she fit in. "How about over there?" she asked pointing at a food stand on the side of the street.

Lydia looked off towards the direction Elphaba was pointing then nodded, “Looks good to me,” She replied smiling. Then sighed, “Fine, you can pay,” She replied heading towards the restaurant. Crossing the street after looking both ways. “So what are you going to eat?” She asked as they entered the restaurant which was full of people.
Lydia looked off around the giant room. She sighed seeing someone she’d probably get to know soon, then pointed to a girl sitting across the room. “I’m going to take a shot in the dark and guess that’s your sister…” She said to Elphaba, noticing Boq was with her. She turned and sat down at an empty table, waiting for Elphaba t sit down next.

Elphaba smiled. "It's only fair." she said as she looked at the food they had. Lydia asked what she would have. Elphaba shrugged. "I am kind of in the past mood. How about you?" she asked her friend. Then Lydia pointed out Nessa and Boq while taking a seat at an empty table.
Why was Nessa and Boq there? It was kind of weird and awkward. Elphaba took a seat across from Lydia hoping her sister wouldn't notice her. "Yes, that's the darling Nessarose" Elphaba said slightly mocking her father's love for her. She sighed. "Sorry if I sound a bit cold. I just was kind of hoping to have a week free of being responsable for her. But now that she is here, if something happens I can be blamed." she said with a sigh and took a glance at Nessa who was staring at her from across the restuarant.. She immediatly turned around.

I nodded, “Don’t worry about her, if you two stay away from each other and something does happen, say you weren’t’ around.” She shrugged. Then turned to glance to Nessa and Boq, “She’s pretty…” She complemented. Boq didn’t look too comfortable, In fact he looked scared to death. though Nessa had a huge smile on her face. Boq looked up and noticed Lydia, a smiled spread across his face, Lydia gave a small wave then turned back to Elphaba, please don’t come over here, please don’t come over here, she begged in her mind.
Lydia took in a deep breath trying not to show her blush then looked through the menu, “Hmm…I think I want a salad…” She murmured mostly to herself. “Words of advice…don’t get the Cherry Cheese Cake, it’s nasty,” She told Elphaba. She had remembered a few years ago trying it, nearly made her sick.
Suddenly she felt a pare of hands on her shoulder then was shaken wildly, “HEY LYDIA ! ! !” screamed a voice, She sighed, “…Hey Adam…” She replied not looking at him, she stared at Elphaba, slightly annoyed with her loud brother , “Elphaba this is Adam, Adam, my new friend Elphaba,” She introduced the two. Adam looked up at Elphaba, he smiled, not helping but to stare. “Wow…you have…beautiful eyes,” He complemented, “Can I eat with you guys?” He asked, “Id rather you not…” Lydia replied, “Thanks,”He said taking a seat next to Elphaba. And here he goes with the Lady Charming again, She thought.

Elphaba nodded at what Lydia said. "Everyone calls her tragically beautiful. Me, I'm beautifully tragic." Elphaba said with a small laugh at her own joke. Nessa was extreemely pretty, everyone always commented on it and compared it to Elphaba. She noticed Boq give Lydia a smile. Elphaba smirked at Lydia's blush. It was always very noticable on her.
She said about the cheesecake. "Thanks for the warning." Elphaba said glad Lydia was there since she tried everything. Suddenly she heard a voice. Lydia introduced the guy as her brother, Adam. He complimented her eyes and stared. Elphaba blushed. "Thanks." she said quietly as he sat next to her. No one ever really complimented her. She wasn't use to this many compliments but she decided it would be better to accept than fight back and recieve more compliments.
"So you're Adam." Elphaba said "Lydia told me so much about you." she said giving her friend a smile and looked back down at the menu. Something about this family liked the color green. Especially on skin. It was kind of unique but Elphaba liked not being judged.

Lydia sighed, Now she felt left out, as she continued to look at the menu, but kept a close eye on Adam, “And your voice…it sounds like an angel…” He smiled putting his hand on her green one. Lydia put her menu down and glared at her brother, “I swear if you scare her away…I’m going to murder you in your sleep…” She warned,
Adam rolled his eyes, “Go talk to your boyfriend…” He teased nudging his head towards Boq. She blushed deeper, “He’s not my boyfriend…” She whispered loudly to him. “Ah, boo whoo, the weird girls cant get the guys,” He said to her then smiled at Elphaba, “Well…there are exceptions,” He told her in a soothing voice.
“Yeah, ...when’s mine…?” Lydia asked, Adam glanced at her, “Well…you cant all get lucky,” He murmured turning back to Elphaba, “So…tell me about yourself.” He smiled, being nice to the girl he just met. Lydia sat back and continued to skim over the menu.

Elphaba felt sort of awkward when he put his hand on hers. Her stomach tightened but she reminded herself of what Lydia said. He was a flirt. he liked any female thing, even if they came in green. His hand on hers. Made her realize how much her skin really stuck out. She looked at Lydia not wanting to be rude but also not wanting to look at her hand. She giggled at what Lydia said. "Don't worry, I don't get scared easily." she said with a smile.
Elphaba sat there awkwardly as the two fought. he mentioned on how the weird girls never got the guys. She felt her heart ache. The weird girls can't get the guy. That's why Fiyero deserves Galinda she thought to herself but pushed that thought away not wanting to think about it. She was with Lydia and her brother. She should focus on them.
Adam asked more about Elphaba. She glanced at Lydia. What could she tell Adam. She didn't want to tell him her whole life story. She didn't feel like she trusted him enough for that. "What do you want to know?" she asked simply hoping it wouldn't be too personal. She looked up and saw Nessa give her a small wave. She smiled and gave a small wave back using her other hand.

Adam glanced over as Elphaba waved to Nessa, he smiled then turned back to her. “Friend?” he asked, “Sister,” Lydia replied to him bluntly, he glanced from his sister back to Elphaba, “Well, one thing’s for sure, YOU get the good looks,” He smiled, trying to Charm Elphaba. Lydia rolled her eyes, feeling left out, though sat back to watch what was going on between her brother and new friend. Ready to step in if he got too Carried away.
“Hmm…I don’t know, Your skin is a very nice color, how did you get it? it makes your beautiful eyes stand out,” He smiled showing his white teeth. Lydia glanced at Elphaba, “Elphaba, if he get’s too awkward, tell me…I’ll get rid of him…” She told her. Then glanced over at Boq who was staring at her. She blushed again, then turned back. “Maybe you can get my sister to leave, so we can talk?” Adam asked Elphaba, knowing if he told Lydia to herself, she’d get mad at him. Though she might listen to Elphaba.
